Making a Back Office System

Working in a Trading Firm as a Software Developer for the Back Office is a challenging job. You need to have a technical skills and combine the business skill (work before in some Accounting related stuff before but not in a Trading Firm for Stocks/Futures/Options/Physical Commodity/etc....do i have one?) to create one. Not only making a new one but doing more on what the previous system does not have or at least something like that. Speaking about the old system which runs for more than 15 years? (Whew!)Through the years I have learn that not to judge the software/system on how does it looks or how fast does it process or how many report it generates but to see how many money does the software/system created but its good to have a have a development to achieve today's latest technology offered.

Every new functionality added is a new learning for me and I always took it as a challenge. (Whew!)
